Contrary to popular belief,
Mark has finally asked 'the question'. On October 20th, 2000, we went out to dinner in Cambridge, MA (where we
were living at the time) to treat ourselves for all the work we had done in the past few weeks. For those who don't know,
Mark had just finished his Masters Degree in Water Resource Engineering from Tufts University,
we had just decided to move back to Colorado where we met at the University of Colorado, Alyssa
was going to try a new path in her research career. Needless to say we had a lot of things going for us. We went out to
a local favorite the Westside Lounge. We relaxed and talked about all the thing that we have to look forward to. We ate
a delicious meal and enjoyed a bottle of red wine. After dinner we decided to have desert, something different for Mark. Alyssa
thought 'that is a nice change', hum.... Before our deserts came, Mark did the only thing that would make the moment even
better. He asked Alyssa to Marry Him. After some tears of Joy and asking three times (they say that the third time is a charm)
Alyssa answered with, "Yes". It was the most memorable moment in our lives.
